Invest Ottawa Joins the LvlUp Innovation Alliance

LvlUp Ventures is welcoming Invest Ottawa, on behalf of the City of Ottawa, as the newest member of the LvlUp Innovation Alliance.

The partnership gives companies in the LvlUp pipeline a direct connection into one of Canada's most active innovation ecosystems, opening the door to pilots, market entry support, and strategic relationships in the region.

What the Innovation Alliance Is

The LvlUp Innovation Alliance connects investment firms, corporations, institutions, and strategic leaders directly to the LvlUp pipeline. It exists to create more ways for exceptional companies to secure investment, launch pilots, form partnerships, and pursue strategic growth, beyond what any single fund or firm can offer on its own.

It isn't a directory. When a company applies to LvlUp, the team evaluates fit not only against LvlUp's own funds, but across the broader Alliance: aligned investment partners, corporate partners, and institutions like Invest Ottawa.

The model runs in three steps:

1. Companies apply through LvlUp. One application gives the team a clear view of the company, its capital needs, and its strategic priorities.
2. LvlUp identifies alignment. The team evaluates fit across its funds and, where relevant, surfaces opportunities across the Alliance and LP network.
3. Partners engage. Aligned partners can invest, co-invest, explore a pilot, form a commercial partnership, or open a broader strategic conversation.

Why Invest Ottawa

Invest Ottawa is the City of Ottawa's lead economic development agency, working to grow the region's tech and innovation sector. Bringing Invest Ottawa into the Alliance gives LvlUp portfolio companies a credible, local partner for entering the Ottawa market: introductions to corporate and institutional players in the region, support navigating market entry, and a stronger on-the-ground presence for companies expanding into Canada.

What This Means for Founders
